Ways to Memorialize Your Loved One

Below we have a list of different options that you are able to do to memorialize your loved one.

We do not have direct connections to all of these listed below, so please contact the number provided for each for more information. Thank you.

Bereavement Bears;
Volunteers through Family Hospice and Palliative Care create bereavement teddy bears out of the clothing/blankets of your loved one. These bears are made at no cost to the family. Funding for these bears to be created is made through donations to the hospice.
Our funeral director, Bethany, has personal connection to this. When her grandfather died, her family decided to get a bear made out of her grandmother's yellow coat for her grandfather to have. This was significant because her grandfather was blind, so this gave her grandfather something he could touch and feel. It brought so much comfort to him and when he passed, he was laid to rest holding onto this bear.

Fingerprint Jewelry;
Fingerprint keepsakes are the perfect way to memorialize your loved one. We take a digital fingerprint of your loved one's finger and then send it into the company we use, or the company you provide for us to use. The company, then, creates a one-of-a-kind original piece that you can touch and feel of your loved one's fingerprint. They come in a variety of different shapes, materials, and colors. These also take longer for processing because they are handcrafted.
This is an option for both those who will be buried and those who are cremated.

You are welcome to research online different options for the fingerprint jewelry.

Cremation Jewelry;
These pieces contain a small amount of your loved one's cremated remains within a tiny compartment in the jewelry. They come in a variety of different shapes and sizes, materials and colors from sterling silver to 14K Gold. You can purchase these directly through our funeral home or you can purchase online at whichever site you choose. We fill cremation jewelry free of charge if you purchase outside of the funeral home, so that you do not have to worry about doing the process yourself.

Cremation Art Glass;
Cremation art glass is a new, beautiful way of memorializing your loved one. With this, cremated remains are blown into a beautiful glass piece. These range from small beads and necklace pendants, up to large standing glass display pieces. They come in a variety of colors and designs and they range in price. These take around a month to receive back depending on the company and time of the year.
You are more than welcome to purchase through our funeral home or find an outside company for us to work with in having your art-glass created or you can follow through with the process yourself, depending on what you are comfortable with.

We have used the above company before for a family who wanted to find a company carrying specific pieces that the companies we go through didn't provide. We are highly impressed by the quality of the work they provided to this family.
