William Lloyd ‘Bill’ Tressler, 83, of Connellsville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 28, 2021 at Highlands Hospital.

He was born January 14, 1938 at his homeplace in Casparis, a son of the late Oscar Clinton and Cora (Bigam) Tressler.

He graduated from Connellsville High School in the Class of 1957. He was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville.

For over 40 years, Bill was employed through Anchor Hocking as a mechanic until his retirement.

He proudly served as a medic in the United States National Guard.

He was a jack-of-all-trades, keeping busy with multiple projects and tinkering with many different things.

He had a love for woodworking and enjoyed building and constructing for many different projects.

In his downtime, he enjoyed completing crossword puzzles daily, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann (Radlosky) Tressler, whom he married on June 25, 1960; daughter, Christine Tressler-Silbaugh and husband James of Connellsville; sons, Kevin Tressler and wife Renee of FL, Patrick Tressler and wife Melissa of Mt. Pleasant, Michael Tressler and wife Amy of Connellsville and Timothy Tressler of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Christopher Tressler, Roman Tressler and wife Darby, Alex Tressler and wife Amanda, and Colton Tressler, all of Florida, Hope and Luke Tressler of Mt. Pleasant, Zachary Tressler and fiancée Christine, Gregory Tressler and fiancée Sarah, and Camry Tressler, all of Connellsville, and Dakota Silbaugh and fiancée Katlynn and daughter Daisy, Alexis Silbaugh, and Alyssa Silbaugh, all of Connellsville; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Ruvo of OH and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by infant granddaughter, Brooke; infant great-granddaughter, Aria; mother and father-in-law, Walter and Mary Radlosky; siblings, Betty, Joann, Helen, Donna, Omah, Charles, James (J.D.), and Pete and his daughter-in-law, Karla (Barclay) Tressler.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Thursday from 1pm – 8pm and on Friday from 8:30am until 9:30am when Prayers of Transfer will be held.

The funeral Mass at 10am will immediately follow at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville with Rev. Fr. Paul Lisik as Celebrant with committal prayers being held at the church following the Mass.

In following with Bill’s wishes, interment will be private.

Masks are recommended to be worn during visitation and services.
