William Clayton ‘Bill’ Swink, 82, of Bullskin Township, passed away peacefully on Monday May 16, 2022 at his home with his beloved wife at his side.
He was born September 5, 1939 in Connellsville, a son of the late Emerson and Wilma (Grimm) Swink.
He graduated from Connellsville Area High School and proudly served his Country in the United States Army from which he was honorably discharged.
Bill was the owner of Swink’s Country Store and was the owner of Fayette Swimming Pools for 30 years. He was also employed by Pittsburgh – Brownsville Express and he eventually retired from the Connellsville Area School District.
Bill was a member of the Marion Lodge #562 and the Fayette Beagle Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and participating Beagle field trials. Beagles held a very special place in Bill’s heart.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Carol (Longanecker) Swink; children, William Swink and wife Andrea and Jeffrey Swink; granddaughter, Natalie Swink; sisters, Alma Courtley and husband Mark Blaine and Karen Wilson and husband William.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Swink.
A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Monday May 23rd from 10am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Rev. Joseph Wingrove officiating and full Military Honors will be accorded by the Amvets General George C. Marshall Post #103.
Interment will be private.
