Stella L. Zitney, 75, of Uniontown, originally of Vanderbilt, passed away peacefully on Friday April 5, 2024 at Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown.
She was born July 30, 1948 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Peter and Veronica (Myden) Zitney. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She attended Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Connellsville, where she was a member of the Holy Trinity Rosary Society, until the church closed.
For the past 5 years, Stella was a resident of Mt. Macina Manor, where she was lovingly knowing by her daughter-in-law, as the ‘Mayor’ because she was always in attendance at the many different functions and activities Mt. Marcina held.
She loved to bake and enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, especially Noah who she had an unbreakable bond with.
Stella is survived by her son, William Zitney and his wife Patricia of Connellsville; her grandchildren, Noah and Caleb Zitney; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and special friends, Connie, Dougie, and Matt White.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul and Louis ‘Chuck’ Zitney; her sister, Carol Zitney and her beloved grand-dog, Dixie Girl.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Tuesday from 4pm until 7pm when the Blessing Service will be held.
In following with Stella’s wishes, interment will be privately held.
