Kenneth Roy ("Hip") Skelton

Kenneth Roy (Hip) Skelton, 50, of Mill Run, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday May 4, 2023.

Hip was born March 27, 1973 in Somerset County, a son of Dottie (Swope) Upton and the late Paul Skelton.

He was a graduate of Connellsville High School.

Hip was employed through Mountain Pines Campground. He formerly was employed through Ohiopyle Prints and Armstrong Drilling where he was a heavy equipment operator.

Hip was known for living his life to the absolute fullest. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing or camping. Most of all, Hip enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Hip leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Kendra Ann Skelton of FL; his mother, Dottie Upton of Connellsville; his brother, Paul (Mick) Skelton and wife Christine of Dawson; his sisters, Cindy Robertson and husband Pat of Nanty Glo, Gloria Nichelson and husband Stoney of White, Dorothy Murphy (D.J.) and husband Jim of Connellsville and Makayla Skelton of Connellsville; his step-siblings; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and his beloved dog, Mutt and cat, Nola.

In addition to his father, Hip was preceded in death by his step-father, Warren Upton and his nephew, George Skelton.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Friday May 12th from 3pm until the hour of the funeral service at 7pm with Pastor James Upton officiating.

A memorial gathering and luncheon will be held on Saturday May 13th at 12pm at the Indian Head Creek Community Center - Bottom Pavilion - 628 Indian Creek Valley Rd, Indian Head, PA 15446.

Interment will be private.
