Kathleen Schott Obituary

Kathleen Sue (Connors) Schott, 92, of Pickerington Ohio, formerly of Connellsville, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023. Born in Westmoreland County on December 18, 1930 to the late Patrick and Mary (Weimer) Connors, Kathleen grew up in Everson, PA.

She graduated from Scottdale High School and later attended Franklin Business School. Kathleen worked at the Connellsville Daily Courier, where she met her future husband, Edward Schott, Sr. She later worked in the cafeteria at Geibel Catholic High School, and eventually moved to a secretarial position in the front office. She had many friends at Geibel who remained very dear to her through the years.
Shortly after her move to Amber House in Mt. Pleasant in 2020, COVID hit hard and her many visitors were reduced to phone conversations and visits from the sidewalk outside her window.

In late 2021 she moved to Abbington Assisted Living in Pickerington, OH to be near her family. During her time in Ohio, she spent quality time with Eddie, Michele, Jennie, Madi, their partners, and her first great-grandson, Brooks. She made many friends at Abbington and especially loved Tuesdays and Thursdays, because BINGO was the afternoon activity.
Kathleen loved her family above all else.

Kathleen leaves behind her loving son, Ed Schott, Jr, his wife Michele (Crocetti) Schott, granddaughters Jennie Severt and husband Kyle,  Madisyn Schott and fiancé Greg Bowers, and her great-grandson Brooks Edward Severt, sister Bernadette Klepsky, brother Joe Connors, sisters–in-law Charlotte Connors and Dolly Connors, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, Ed Schott Sr., sisters Mary Ann Adams (Clyde) and Patricia Renzi, brothers Arthur and Tom Connors, and their infant brother, as well as brothers-in-law George Klepsky, John (Frinnie) Schott, Albert Schott, and sisters-in-law Shirley Connors, Jean Schott, and Mary Kinnear (Harry).
The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to her caregivers at Abbington Assisted Living of Pickerington, Capital City Hospice of Columbus, and the doctors and nurses at Ohio Health Pickerington Campus.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G.
