Irma Marie Tishman

Irma Marie Tishman, 94, of Ruffsdale, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 22, 2024 at The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg.

She was born November 5, 1929 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Albert and Barbara (Kohl) Huffine.

For many years, Irma was employed through PNC as a loan officer until her retirement.

She attended the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Connellsville as a longtime member.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #247 and the East Huntington Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered at Frick Hospital for a number of years as a greeter.

She always wanted to make sure she kept herself busy.

Irma is survived by her special nephews who helped to take care of her, Thomas Eicher of Connellsville and Jeffery Jacobs and wife Gina of Connellsville and her niece, Thelma Jacobs of Ellwood City; many other numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and her step granddaughter, Cheryl Callahan of Arizona.

In addition to her parents, Irma was preceded in death by her 1st husband, William Carmichael; her 2nd husband, William Tishman; siblings, Minna Jacobs and Lewis Jacobs; nieces, Melissa Eicher and Maureen Jacobs and nephew, Greg Jacobs.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425.

In following with Irma’s wishes, no visitation will be held. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday March 20, 2024 from 11am until the hour of the memorial service at 1pm at the St. John’s Lutheran Church - 144 E South St, Connellsville, PA 15425 with Pastor Kevin Anderson officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Cemetery, Tarrs, PA.
