Franklin Andrew Housel

Franklin Andrew Housel, Sr., 53, of Acme, passed away on Wednesday October 13, 2021 in Normalville, Springfield Township after his tough battle with cancer.

He was born April 12, 1968 in Connellsville, a son of the late John H. and Mary A. (Pirl) Housel.

He was Protestant by Faith.

For what seemed like his whole life, Frank was a self-employed mechanic who enjoyed tinkering and fixing cars.

When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Steelers.

The most important thing to him was his family.

He loved his fiancée, kids and his grandkids more than anything in this world.

Frank is survived by his beloved fiancée, Kimberly Ritenour; children, Ashley Housel, Franklin Housel Jr., Sheena Housel, Brandon Ritenour, Cody Ritenour, Hunter Ritenour, and Mindy Housel; grandchildren, Brayden Burkholder, Brandii Housel, Elizabeth Housel, Joshua Housel, Sabrina Housel, Amara Housel, Jacob Housel, Ellis Housel, Selina Housel, Alia Nicholson and Baby Ritenour who is due in May; siblings, Peggy Feltner and husband Clarence, Sally Rice and husband Larry, Jimmy Housel, Jake Housel, Kenneth Housel and Jay Housel.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceeded in death by his brothers, John Housel and Edward Pirl.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Sunday from 2pm – 8pm and on Monday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Robert Stewart officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
