Dorothy V. (Pollard) Brown, 95, of Connellsville, Pa., was called to her Heavenly home by our Lord, on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
Dorothy was born July 18, 1925 to the late Bessie and Tom Pollard in Mt. Braddock, Pa, where she attended school. Later she met and married her late husband; Samuel D. Brown, Sr. and were Blessed with 5 children.
Dorothy was employed by Anchor Hocking in Connellsville, Pa., for many years, after which she worked as a caretaker in private homes.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of Payne A.M.E., in Connellsville, Pa., and took her personal relationship with the Lord very seriously. She was also a member of The Eastern Stars and the American Legion Auxiliary, William Hickman Post 762 in in Trotter Pa.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was predeceased by 3 children; Gregory N. Brown, Pricilla Y. (Brown) Harris; and Jack L. Pollard; 4 sisters; Helen Goree, Thelma McCargo, Dorothy Branch, and Christine Price, 4 Brothers; Clarence Pollard, William Pollard, John Pollard, and Kenneth Gales.
Dorothy is survived by the following children: Jacqueline (Pollard) Jones, of Connellsville, Pa; and Samuel D. Brown, Jr.; of Trotter, Pa. In addition to her children; she leaves to cherish her memory a very special cousin; Aunt Flora Leos of West Mifflin, Pa., a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends including her long time and faithful friend; Elsie Haley, of Connellsville, Pa.
Funeral arrangements for Dorothy are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425.

Payne A.M.E. Church - 812 W. Crawford Ave. Connellsville, PA 15425 where viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M., the hour of service.
Interment will be private.
