Darrell L. "Buddy" Ritenour, Jr.

Darrell L. “Buddy” Ritenour, Jr., 68, of Connellsville (Springfield Twp), passed away peacefully on Thursday September 16, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 16, 1953 in McKeesport, PA, a son of the late Darrell L. Sr. and  Shirley Lorraine (Johnson) Ritenour.

Buddy was musically inclined, and could easily listen to a song and immediately know how to play it on any instrument. He even would write his on songs that he would play on multiple types of instruments.

In addition to music, Buddy wholeheartedly enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Buddy will be truly missed by his entire family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell L. Ritenour, Shirley L. (Johnson) Ritenour

Buddy is survived by his ex-wife, Kimberly Sue Ritenour-Rosenberry; children, Tammy Adams and fiancé Danny Campbell of Connellsville, Tonya Maxwell and fiancé Dustin Oldahen of Herminie, Timothy Ritenour and fiancé Shawna Courie of Connellsville, Kimberly Ritenour and fiancé Frank House of Connellsville, Ruth Joll of Normalville, Steven Ritenour and fiancé Tiffany Miller of Normalville, Darrell Ritenour and fiancée Cherish Gardek of Connellsville, Joshua  Ritenourof Normalville, Jamie Ritenour and boyfriend Billy Shield of Mill Run, and Alyssa Ritenour and fiancé Jacob Landman of Dunbar; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchilren; siblings, Leroy Ritenour of Connellsville, Shirley Goodwin and husband Thomas “Bim” of Normalville, David K. Ritenour and fiancé Beaulan Dillenger of Vanderbilt, Ruth Stenger and husband Randy of Connellsville; Kimberly Nicholson and husband Frederick of Connellsville, Emma Cole and husband John of Mill Run, Amy Hockenberger and husband Jay of Confluence and Darrell Lee Ritenour of Donora and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Monday from 2pm – 8pm and on Tuesday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Norman Walk officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
