Cecelia Mae ('Cil') Roberts

Cecelia Mae ‘Cil’ Roberts, 63, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully after her 6 month battle with Stage 4 small cell lung cancer on Wednesday January 11, 2023 with her loving family by her side.

She was born July 28, 1959 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late George Sr. and Margaret Moore.

Cecelia originally was employed at Burn’s Drug Store in Connellsville as a waitress. After its’ closure, she worked as a cook for both the Italian Oven and Larry’s Curb Service. While employed as a cook, she was known as a jack-of-all-trades in the kitchen.

She loved playing bingo and made sure to attend the different events at the local fire departments.

Family meant the world to Cecelia and she adored her children and was a proud grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cil will be deeply missed by all those family and friends she leaves behind.

Cecelia is survived by her beloved husband and companion of 45 years, Barry Kershey; beloved children,  Roxann Roberts, Dawn Coliny (Greg Lucas), and Kelly Kershey (Jimmy Sledge), all of Connellsville; adored grandchildren, Nathan Croushoee (Jasolin), Bradley Sledge, Jessica Powell, Destiny Eutsey (Tim), James Sledge, Michael Coliny, and Sean Coliny; great-grandchildren, Noah, Max, Orion, Castalia, Zachariah, Brandon, Harleigh, Jayden, Madison, Timothy Jr., and ‘Princess’ Makenzie Roberts and her sisters, Vickie Roberts and Debbie Moore, both of Connellsville. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Cecelia was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Roadman and Rose Murphy; brothers, Lloyd Moore, Patrick Roberts, and George Moore; brother-in-law, George Kershey; mother and father-in-law, Walter and Ellen Orndorff; nieces, Barbara Pirl and Shelia Murphy and nephew, Ronald Pirl.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Saturday from 2pm until the hour of the funeral service at 5pm with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.

Interment will be private.
