Caroline Zivnoska Obituary

Caroline Anne Zivnoska, 83, of South Connellsville, passed away peacefully on Monday May 3, 2021 at her home.

She was born September 11, 1937 in South Connellsville, a daughter of the late John and Angela “Nellie” (Omatick) Vinoski.

Caroline was a member of the former Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Connellsville and the Holy Trinity Christian Mothers. When Holy Trinity closed, she became a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Connellsville.

She was a graduate of Connellsville High School in the Class of 1955.

Caroline was employed through PNC Bank as a bank teller for many years up until her retirement.

Caroline hobbies included baking, gardening, and most of all shopping and finding the best deals.

She absolutely adored her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

Caroline will be remembered as a humble, kind, and classy lady.

Caroline is survived by her beloved daughters, Lou Ann Mellinger and husband Donald of Scottdale and Kathleen Shearer and husband John of Connellsville; grandchildren, Kristen Null and husband Michael, Stephen Shearer and wife Maggie, Eric Shearer and wife Sarah, Haley Shearer, Tessa Shearer, Rachael Shearer, and Marygrace Shearer; great-grandchildren, Connor Null, Nathaniel Null, Emma Shearer, and one on the way; sister, Theresa Ranker; brother-in-law, Richard Kessler; sister-in-law, Norma Zivnoska and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Louis R. Zivnoska; brothers, Joseph Vinoski and George Vinoski; sister, Cecilia Kokot-Kessler; brothers-in-law, Joseph Ranker and Paul Kokot and sister-in-law, Diane Vinoski.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville on Monday May 10th from 2pm - 8pm and on Tuesday from 9am until the hour of the Blessing Service at  11am with Rev. Fr. Paul Lisik as Celebrant.

Committal will follow at Holy Trinity R.C. Cemetery, Connellsville.
