Joseph E. Bollibon, Sr., 87, of Elm Grove, passed away on Friday August 17, 2018 at Uniontown Hospital.
He was born February 12, 1931 in Elm Grove, the son of the late Anthony S. and Josephine A. (Puskar) Bollibon “Balaban”.
Joe was a lifelong and devoted member of the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville. He retired from the Duraloy Corporation.
He was a Democratic committee member for over 50 years.
He was a proud Veteran and served his Country in the United States Army.
Joe is survived by his children, Joseph E. Bollibon, Jr. of Elm Grove and Karen Turner of Florida; brothers, George Bollibon and wife Lillian of Murrysville and Anthony S. Bollibon, Jr. of Little Summit and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Catherine Eileen Bollibon (2014) and sister, Cathern Malik.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connelllsville on Monday from 2 to 8pm.
Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday from 8:30am until 9:30am, when Prayers of Transfer will be held.
A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville at 10am with Rev. Fr. Robert Lubic as Celebrant.
Committal will follow at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Cemetery, Connellsville with full Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post 21 and the American Legion Posts 301 & 762.
