William Oliver Rutherford, 60, of Bullskin Township, passed away peacefully at home on February 3, 2026.
William was deeply loved by all who knew him and truly defined what it means to be a great man. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Known for his strong work ethic, he took great pride in his job and truly cared about his customers. His dedication, kindness, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Outside of work, William found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He loved bow hunting and treasured the peace it brought him. He also loved watching his nieces ride horses, something that brought him so much pride and happiness. More than anything, he loved spending time with his three granddaughters, who were the light of his life. He cherished every moment with them. He never missed a soccer game, dance recital, or even an after-school Sheetz run — anything they asked, he was there without hesitation. He created memories that will live on forever.
As John Wayne once said, “Courage is being scared to death… and saddling up anyway.” William lived his life with that quiet courage and steady strength every single day.
He is survived by his sister, Lisa Trump; his niece, Kristina Keifer and her husband, Blair; his great-nieces and nephews, Kylee, Maddalynn, Alyssa, and Bryson; his nephew, Justin Trump; his great-niece, Makayla Trump and her fiancé, Austin; his great-great-nephews, Wyatt and Eli; and his three loving granddaughters. They will all forever hold this amazing man close in their hearts.
William will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His love and legacy will never be forgotten.
Cremation arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes, no viewing or services will be held and interment will be private.
