Wayne ‘Wayne-O’ Shaw, 61, of Connellsville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday August 29, 2025 at Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown.
He was born April 28, 1964 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Thomas K. Sr. and Sylvia J. (Wisnieski) Shaw.
He graduated from Geibel High School in the Class of 1982 and was a prior member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville and was currently became active again in his Catholic Faith. Throughout his life, Wayne was a jack-of-all-trades, having worked at Williamhouse and the coal yards and lastly, he was employed at Anchor Hocking Glass Cap as an operator for 10 years.
Wayne was known as a simple man. If asked where he wanted to go, whether the Bahamas or Rocky Mountains, his answer was always to his family’s coal yards with his brother Tom.
His grandchildren, Wyatt and Victoria, were the highlights of his life. He always made sure to spend as much time with them, even attending all of Wyatt’s hockey games and Victoria’s dance recitals. His grandchildren lovingly referred to him as ‘Pappy Shop’.
Wayne is survived by his “Midge” and “Knucklehead” daughter whom he loved, Brandi Shaw (Tyler Stillwagon) of Dunbar; his cherished grandchildren, Wyatt and Victoria; sister, Elizabeth J. ‘Betty’ Miller and husband Jeff of Connellsville; brother, Thomas K. Shaw, Jr. (Lisa) of Everson and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parentrs, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth L. Shaw, Sr.; sister-in-law, Julie Shaw; maternal grandparents, Theresa and Ignatius Wisnieski and paternal grandparents, Laura and Jonas Shaw.
Family and friends will be received in the temporary location of the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home, Inc. located in the Apostolic Holiness Church (next door to the funeral home) – 412 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Tuesday from 4pm until the hour of his Blessing Service at 6pm with Fr. Peter Guardiano as Celebrant. Interment will be privately held.
