Velma Louise (Adams) Carson, 95, of Connellsville, passed away on Thursday December 1, 2022 at Redstone Highlands Greensburg.
She was born November 2, 1927 in Dunbar, a daughter of the late Robert Edward and Elsie Ruth (Penn) Adams.
Velma was previously employed at Anchor Hocking Cap Plant and the Daily Courier.
She was also a loving housewife who adored her family.
Velma was a member of the Connellsville Township Fire Department Ladies Auxilary.
Velma is survived by her beloved children, Robert Carson and wife Toni of Connellsville, Scott Carson and wife Marsha of Connellsville and Brian Carson; grandchildren; Jennifer Pletcher and husband Richard of NC, Bradley Carson and wife Shannon of NC, Brandon Carson and companion Rita of Yukon, and Andrew Shanaberger and wife Brandi of Kansas; great-grandchild, Autumn Rose Shanaberger; step-grandchild, Jaylynn; sister-in-law, Goldie Adams; nieces, Janet and Jane Ann and beloved dog, Theo.
In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Carson (2003); daughter, Judith; sisters, June Adams and Virginia Adams Kollar; brothers, Gerald Adams and Harry Adams; and her beloved dog, SoCo.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Tuesday from 2pm – 8pm and on Wednesday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Jeff Rowan officiating.
Private interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar.
