Theresa Loretta (Hatter) Stazetski

Theresa Loretta (Hatter) Stazetski, 64, of Dunbar Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 3, 2024 at home.

She was born October 9, 1959 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Melvin E. and Marie E. (Taxacher) Hatter.

Theresa graduated from Geibel Catholic High School in the Class of 1978 and continued her education at WV Northern Community College where she graduated with her Associate’s degree in nursing in the Class of 1983. After 10 years of nursing, she became a stay-at-home mom to take care of her family. Theresa only every wanted for everyone she loved and cared for to be happy. She enjoyed going to the beach, her favorite being Ocean City. She adored her dogs, affectionately calling them her ‘Lovelies’.

She said she only had one regret in life and that was she didn’t take typewriting in school.

She was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville.

Theresa is survived by her husband Paul A. Stazetski; her daughters, Sue D. Muggar (Matt) and Heather I. Koprowicz (Nick); sisters-in-law, Karen Burdge and Nancy Federico; siblings, David Hatter, Francis Hatter, Linda Molinaro (Louie), Joan Buttermore, Dennis Hatter (Paula), Sharon Keefer, Martha Hatter, Margaret Younkin (Eddie), Joseph Hatter and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, James Hatter; sisters-in-law, Betty Hatter, Connie Hatter, Cindy Hatter, and Jackie Hatter and brother-in-law, Bob Keefer.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Wednesday from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm and on Thursday from 9am until the hour of the Blessing Service at 10am with Rev. Fr. Paul Lisik as Celebrant. Committal will follow at St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Connellsville.
