Sherman Richard Hollis

Sherman Richard Hollis, 80, of Everson, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, at Independence Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.

He was born March 17, 1943, in Connellsville, a son of the late Milton Hollis and Danzy (Fullem) Findly.

For many years, Sherman was employed by Goodwill as a recycling driver. He enjoyed spending time bowling at City Lanes, Connellsville, and he was a top member of the Scottdale Eagles.

Sherman is survived by his daughters, Vickie Hollis and Peggy Hollis; stepsons, Terry Lint and George Lint; numerous grandchildren, Michael Hollis, Sheree Hollis, Casey Hollis, Geri Feick, Kristy Lint, Stephanie Lint, Chelsea Lint, Johnathan Lint, Lola Lint, Jazmin Lint, Dustin Lint, Jonny Lint, Shanon Lint, and Brandon Lint; and his great-grandson, Henry Bowers.

In addition to his parents, Sherman was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Hollis; his brothers, John Hollis, Jack Hollis, Eugene Hollis, Jr. Hollis, and Bill Hollis; and his sisters, Margaret Hollis-Pletcher and Bertha Hollis-Sirianni.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, PA 15425.

In following with Sherman’s wishes, there will be no viewing or services held, and interment will be private.
