Ruby Francis (Miller) VanDyke, 70, of Bullskin Twp, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday October 17, 2023 at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital.
She was born August 17, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Robert Edward and Iva Marie (Daniels) Miller.
She was a longtime, devoted member of the Albright United Methodist Church, Connellsville, where she made sure to attend services every Sunday, even having her ‘own’ pew and seat at the church. She loved her church and she had a true devotion to God.
Throughout her life, Ruby was a loving homemaker to her family, whom was her whole life. She made sure her family was properly taken care of and she enjoyed spending time and being with them any chance she could get. Family was her entire world.
She was a member of the Everson V.F.W. Post 595, she enjoyed playing bingo and loved having campfires with her family.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Howard ‘Buck’ VanDyke of Bullskin Twp; her 3 daughters, Loura Smith and husband David of Edenborn, Diana Thomas and fiancé Dean Stiltenpole of Ruffsdale and Bonnie Bloom and husband Larry of Connellsville; her son, Ronald Magee and wife Lisa of Ruffsdale; 4 stepchildren; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters; 2 brothers and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy I. Magee; brothers, Timothy Michael Miller, Gregory Wayne Miller, Jeffrey Dale Miller, and Samuel S. Sheets and sisters, Joy Louise Morin, Darlene Skero and Betty Bungard.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Saturday from Noon until 6pm when a brief Committal will be said by Rev. Steven Lamb.
A memorial service will be held at the Albright United Methodist Church at a later date.
Interment will be private.
