Rosemary Bunting-Martinchalk, age 77, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on March 4, 2026. Her loving husband and her brother, Mark Shipley, were by her side during her final moments, offering comfort and support. She was married to Rick Martinchalk for just over a year. Their relationship began before they entered first grade, and they graduated high school together.
Rosemary was born on August 14, 1948, in Dunbar, a daughter of the late Redding and Mary Catherine (Bigley) Bunting. She attended boarding school for two years (7th and 8th grades), where she distinguished herself as an accomplished pianist. At elementary and high school, she and Rick participated together in mixed chorus and other activities. During her teenage years she lived on a ranch. Rosemary created many cherished memories, such as ice skating on the ranch's pond and inviting neighborhood teenagers to join her on the ice.
She began her working career at a bank and moved on to do several jobs. After retiring from the national AFL-CIO organization, Rosemary continued to work for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBOEW) local 606 as an office manager for another 17 years. Following this, she established her own consulting company. She was recognized for her ability to quickly identify problems and apply effective solutions.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her love of family, and the joyful moments she created with others. Rosemary was known for her caring nature and her willingness to help others achieve their goals, often dedicating her time and resources to support them.
Rosemary is survived by her beloved granddaughter, Lydia Copple; brothers, Robert Bunting (Paulann), Redding Bunting (Cindy), Mark Shipley (Roxanne), and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brant Copple; her mother, Mary Catherine Shipley; father, Redding Bunting and her stepfather, Dale Shipley.
