Ronald Lee Brooks, 84, of Connellsville, passed away, Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.
He was born, June 12, 1941, in Connellsville, a son of the late Melvin & Ruth (Firestone) Brooks.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Romesburg) Brooks; sons, Rick Lee Brooks and wife Jamie of Connellsville, and Rodney R. Brooks and wife Pam of Hempfield; grandchildren, Chance, who he enjoyed bike riding with, Sara, who he enjoyed sharing Easy Cheese & Club Crackers with while watching the Disney Channel and “Say Yes to the Dress," Dylan, whose cooking he enjoyed along with following his hockey team, “The Steel City Ice Renegades;" a brother, Sam Brooks of Florida and two sisters, Norma May of Mill Run and Debbie Whaley of North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Blaine Brooks.
He was a graduate of Connellsville Joint High School, Class of 1959. He was a member of the Faith Bible Church, the NRA, South Connellsville Rod & Gun Club, and was a life member of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He also served over 20 years as an instructor for the PA Hunter-Trapper Program and was a pioneer of the Youth Hunter Education Challenge.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, PA 15425 on Tuesday from 1 until the hour of his funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Paul Prinkey officiating. Private Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
