Robert 'Gibby' Gibson

Robert “Gibby” Gibson, 40, of Connellsville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 16, 2023 at home.

He was born March 5, 1983 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Cynthia (Ritenour) Gibson and the late Gary G. Gibson.

He attended Connellsville Senior High School and was a member of the Connellsville Church of the Brethren.

For many years, Gibby worked as carpenter. He always called himself the ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’ because of his ability to fix anything and everything.

When not working, Gibby enjoyed hunting, fishing, and quad riding with his Pap.

Gibby is survived by his fiancée, Crystal Gephart; his children, Damian Gibson (Alyssa), Caitlyn Delgross (Matt), Christyn Delgross (John), and Cory Metzger; his grandchildren whom he adored, Claire and Addison; his mother, Cynthia Gibson; his brother, Eugene Gibson and wife Angela; his grandfather, Russell E. Ritenour; nephew, Jodie Carrigan; niece, Justine Mcnemar and fiancé Chris; great-niece, Aurora; aunts, Linda Hogan and husband Ron and Barbara Machesky and husband John and many cousins and friends.

In addition to his father, Gary Gibson, Gibby was preceded in death by his loving maternal grandmother, Georgetta Ritenour; his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Madeline Gibson and his uncles, Lewis “Louie” Gibson and Russell “Rusty” Ritenour Sr.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Wednesday from 2pm – 8pm and on Thursday from 9am until the hour of the Celebration of Gibby’s Life at 11am with Pastor Ron Overly officiating.

Interment will be private.
