Rebecca Sue (Starn) Philburn

Rebecca Sue Philburn, 84, of Connellsville, passed away on Monday December 16, 2024 at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital.

She was born July 24, 1940 in Orrville, OH, a daughter of the late Homer Earnest and Clara (West) Starn.

She received a Master’s Degree and was employed through Carnegie Library of Connellsville for many years as a Librarian. As a librarian, she enjoyed reading as much as she could.

She was an avid needleworker, having been a member of the Franklin United Methodist Quilters Group.

Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Barbara Starn; her cat, Tiger, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred K. Philburn; brother, Bill Starn and her sister, Carolyn Starn-Morris.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425.

A memorial gathering and service will be held at a later date.
