Raymond Eugene Goodwin, 87, of Bullskin Twp., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday May 9, 2025.
He was born September 13, 1937 in Connellsville, a son of the late Grant and Mary C. (Russman) Goodwin.
He was a member of the Christian Mission Alliance Church, Connellsville.
He was employed for 33 years at U.S. Steel Homestead as a steelworker. After, he worked with the mentally and physically handicapped.
Ray enjoyed cutting the grass, working on lawnmowers, and tinkering around his house.
He also enjoyed watching the Steelers, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Matlock, Murder, She Wrote and many different western movies and doing crossword puzzles. Most recently, he just finished reading his Bible for the third time.
Most importantly, if you knew Ray, you knew his family was his entire world and he was a master at raising his family. He was selflessly devoted to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He made sure he was always there for them, with them not even having to ask; whether they were sick or needed help with different projects. He also made sure to have Sunday Dinner every Sunday, where he would cook for his family.
Ray is survived by his children, Roxanne Ciciretti (Dominick Jr.), Tammy Moreman (Donald), Gina Lembo (Jim), Gary Goodwin (Kelly), Mark Goodwin (Jennifer), Joey Goodwin (Kathy), Terry Goodwin (JoEllen), and Lisa Saloom (Tim); grandchildren, Clinton Brown (Amanda), Dominick Anthony Ciciretti III (Brooke), Corey Brown (Crystal), Megan Jane Buchko (Cody), Janie Rae Ciciretti (Cory), Anthony Lembo, Nicole Lembo (Jonathan), Chelsea Hardy (Robby), Grace Agostoni (Matt), Gage Goodwin (Gabby), Gabrielle Goodwin (Titan), Kaelyn Brielle Lubich, Orion Saloom, Samantha Saloom (Rob), Isabelle Saloom (Zach), Thomas Saloom, Trinity Shaffer, Ty Shaffer, and Maggie Shaffer; great-grandchildren, Chloe Brown (Cale), Cecily Brown, David Layman, Logan Brown, Landon Brown, Layla Brown, Lili Ciciretti, Liv Brown, Luciana Ciciretti, Wylder Hardy, Adeline Buchko, Bodi Hardy, Freya Buchko, Sophia Lampkin, Dante Lampkin, and Kaia Lampkin; sister, Dolorus Jean Monahan.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane (Rummel) Goodwin; son, Raymond Eugene Goodwin, Jr.; grandsons, Grant Raymond Ciciretti and Andrew Joseph Ciciretti and son-in-law, Dominick Ciciretti, Jr.
