Pamela Sue Cavallo, 70, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Monarch and Bridgeport, W.Va., passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Monday, July 13, 2026.
She was born July 29, 1955, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late George and Eleanor (Hrimnock) Vavra.
Pam was raised in the Catholic faith and despite moving, she remained devoted to that faith, no matter where she went.
She graduated from Connellsville High School with the Class of 1973 and continued her education at Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, W.Va., where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Pam dedicated 35 years of compassionate service as a registered nurse at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, W.Va., before retiring.
Pam lived a joyful life filled with kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for others. While these qualities were evident throughout her nursing career, they were most deeply felt by her family, whom she cherished above all else.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, David W. Cavallo of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three sons, Ryan Cavallo and wife, Andrea, of Morgantown, W.Va., Evan Cavallo of San Antonio, Texas, and Eric Cavallo and wife, Makayla, of Clarksburg, W.Va.; three cherished grandchildren, Nolan, Avery, and Lucy Cavallo; and her brother, David Vavra and wife, Millie, of New Salem.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, on Monday, July 20, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville with Rev. Fr. Paul Lisik as Celebrant.
Committal services and interment will follow in St. John Roman Catholic Cemetery, Connellsville.
