Norma Jean Yauger, 81, of Connellsville, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 10, 1942, to the late Harold and Mildred (Geary) Fuller.
Norma was a 1960 graduate of Connellsville High School.
She was employed at Pechins Cafeteria as a cafeteria manager, retiring after 35 years to take care of her late husband and eventually to babysit her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Yauger; sisters, Marlene Marsinek, Marion Kozar and Donna Wiley. Also, her brothers Ralph and Dave Fuller.
Norma was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Norma was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, aunt, and sister, always taking care of those she loved. Her love knew no limit and she found immense joy in spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.
She taught us everything except how to live without her.
Left to treasure her memories are her three children, Robin Brooks (Dan), Kim Yauger-Stringfellow (Robin), and Robert Yauger (Sonja). By her grandchildren, Kelly Martin (Joel), Kristin Owens (Danny), Colby Brooks (Kristen), Cara Brooks, Alicia Luketic (Sean), Rocco Yauger (Lauren), Zach Yauger, Jacob Yauger, and Ashley Brocato (Zach). By her great grandchildren Noah & Alissa Vail, River Martin, Dominic & Olivia Brooks, Ruby Brooks, Anthony & Reese Luketic, Camilla Yauger, and Charlotte Brocato. She cherished her niece, Crystal Pounds (Freddie) and nephew, Shawn Fuller (Tiffany), along with her many nieces and nephews.
Norma’s love and guidance will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she loved for generations to come. She gave her all and did her best not to impress others or to meet someone’s definition of success but because she knew God was watching her and he would honor her faithfulness.
“Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:31
