Michael Andrew Adams, 78, of New Kensington, passed away on Saturday February 3, 2024 at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born March 14, 1945 in Hopton, England, a son of the late Thomas M. and Doreen A. (Cammell) Adams.
After completing high school, Michael continued on to Devry Technical Insitute. He worked in the communications field for AT&T and Verizon for many years until his retirement.
He was a member of the Connellsville Slovak Club, the Breakfast Club, the Crowfoot Gun Club, and the Communications Workers of America Union, where he served as the past President of the local union.
He enjoyed going on trips to casinos, riding his bike on the trails, golfing, going to breakfast with lifelong friends, and most importantly, spending time with family.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Wong and her husband Eric; son, Ryan Adams; grandsons, Ian and Ethan Wong; sisters, Vannessa Wilson and husband Rod and Karen Henderson; nieces and nephews, Aaron and Bri Wilson and Adam and Therese Wilson and their children, Aubrey and Everett and Ashley and Amanda Henderson and their children Serenity and Aurora; his lifelong friends, Eric and Larry and his cat, Feather.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Christine in 2018; his brother, Robert in 2013 and an infant brother, Thomas.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Tuesday from 4pm – 8pm and on Wednesday from 8:30am until 9:15am when the Panachida will be held. The Divine Liturgy will immediately follow at St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church, West Leisenring at 10am with Rev. Jerome G. Botsko as Celebrant.
Committal and interment will follow in St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
