Maureen Ann (Moore) Gollihue, 64, of Perryopolis, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday May 6, 2023.
She was born June 8, 1958 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Donald Moore Sr. and Anna Marie (Marusek) Lucas.
She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School.
She attended and was a prior member of the Vanderbilt Church of Christ and she was a current member of the Perryopolis Baptist Church.
Throughout her life, Maureen was a loving homemaker to her family. She always made sure to open her home to those who needed a place to stay and made sure her family and friends were taken care of.
Maureen loved celebrating the holidays, especially Christmas, where she enjoyed decorating and listening to the music every year. She also was devout in her faith and enjoyed attending church services every week.
Maureen is survived by her sons, Sam Moore and companion Ryan Timms of Dawson and Steve Gollihue and companion Holly Keffer of Perryopolis; grandchildren, Mike ‘Mikey’ Butcher and his wife Abby of Erie, Riley Timms of Dawson, Owen Timms of Dawson, Jaden Gollihue of Perryopolis and Albert Gollihue of Perryopolis; great-grandchildren, Amber Butcher of Erie and Lilianna Butcher of Erie; siblings, Donald Moore Jr. and wife Cathy of Ohio, Joseph Moore and wife Gennive of Vanderbilt, Robbie Moore of Norvelt, Tammy Matovitz of Ohio, and Cheryl Overly of Connellsville and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Gollihue; her daughter, Jennifer Koontz and her sister-in-law, Elaine Moore.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Thursday from 11am until the hour of the funeral service at 4pm with Pastor Simeon Hatcher officiating.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her sons, Sam and Steve, to offset the cost of the funeral expenses.
