Mary Elizabeth Francis, 84, of Connellsville Twp., passed away on Sunday February 16, 2025, at Excela Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.
She was born in Scottdale on August 4, 1940, a daughter of the late Carl Eugene and Agnes Jane (Clark) Geary.
For many years, Mary was an in-home caregiver. She was a member of Central Fellowship Church, Connellsville for 17 years.
She was a member of the TOPS Club, having been awarded the KOPS Recognition for keeping off and maintaining her weight, which she was extremely proud of.
Mary enjoyed sitting on her porch, listening to her windchimes, and feeding birds and birdwatching with her two Dachshunds, Buddy and Katie, by her side.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her whole world, and she adored every single one of them.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Pamela R. Miller and husband John Jr.; daughter-in-law, Sherry Francis; granddaughters who she referred to as her “Angels”, Heather Booher (Nathan), Amy Francis (Kane), and McKenzie Smith (Joseph); great-grandchildren who were the apples-of-her-eye, Natalie, Molly, and Luke Booher; 2 brothers, David Geary (Jean) and Daryl Geary (Bobbi Ann); numerous nieces and nephews; special great-nephew, Brent Bowman (Lisa); many great-nieces and great-nephews; and her dogs, Buddy and Katie.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Francis; her son, David A. Francis; 2 sisters, Faye and Jean; brother, Glenn and special friends, Paula Nicolette and Carol Wetzel.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Thursday from 2pm – 4pm and 5pm – 8pm and on Friday from 10am until the hour of the funeral service at Noon with Pastor Michael Martin officiating.
Committal services and interment will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.
