Marjorie J. (Hartman) Sherwood

Marjorie (Hartman) Sherwood, 78, of South Connellsville, passed away on Monday April 10, 2023 at Forbes Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born August 2, 1944 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Floyd and Ruth (Sanner) Hartman.

She graduated in the Class of 1962 from Connellsville Senior High School. She was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church.

For many years, Marjorie was employed at Connellsville Hospital where she worked in the dietary department until her retirement.

Marjorie enjoyed going to casinos where she would gamble, playing bingo, and she was an avid reader. She also was a member of the South Connellsville Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary.

Marjorie is survived by her beloved children, Gerry Sherwood and wife Aurora of San Antonio, Texas, Mike Sherwood of South Connellsville, and Marianne Brundege and husband Mark of Scottdale; grandchildren, Ashley Sherwood, Nicole Sherwood, Michael Sherwood Jr., Christina Conigliaro and fiancé Brett Swink, Caitlyn Brundege, Alex Brundege, and Natalie Rendon; great-grandchildren, Aaden, Madison, Kendell, Trent, Avaya, Alivia, and Benjamin and her sisters, Judith Hyatt of Connellsville.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Sherwood (2019).
