Leonard Daniel ('Danny') Mauger, Jr.

Leonard (Danny) Daniel Mauger, Jr., 76, of Hopwood, passed away on Sunday July 31, 2022 at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital.

He was born November 26, 1945 in Pottstown, PA, a son of the late Leonard Daniel Sr. and Aida (Trout) Mauger.

Danny proudly served his Country during the Vietnam War as a U.S. Army Medic.

He was employed as an industrial cleaner and painter for the A.S.K. Cleaning Company for many years and after his retirement from the company, he continued to work in maintenance for Pleasant Valley Country Club.

He was a longtime member of the Vanderbilt Church of the Nazarene.

Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Rose Mae (Lewis) Mauger; son, Joseph Mauger and companion Tiffany of Brownsville; grandchildren, Aaron Wade, Jaden Wade, and Joseph Mauger, Jr. and brother, John “Jack” Mauger and wife Joann of Pottstown.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Mauger; brother, Arlington Wadesworth; sister-in-law, Joanne Wadesworth and step-sister, Mildred Mauger.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425.

A Memorial Service for Danny will be held at the Vanderbilt Church of the Nazarene - 121 Vanderbilt Rd, Vanderbilt, PA 15486 on Saturday at 1pm with Pastor Glendon Wills officiating and full military honors will be provided by the Amvets General George C. Marshall Post #103.

Interment will be private.
