Joseph Arthur Richey

Joseph Arthur Richey, 63, of Connellsville Township, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, in the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, W. Va., with his family by his side. He was born Jan. 22, 1960, in Connellsville, a son of the late Joseph T. and Ruth L. (Clark) Richey. He was a member of the former Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Connellsville and upon its closure, he became a member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville.

Joe was employed through Frank Fratto Merchandise, Scottdale, as a warehouse engineer for 25 years. He was a member of the Polish Club, where he worked as a bartender for 18 years and later was inducted as an officer. Joe enjoyed grilling, watching Pittsburgh football and hockey, spending time at the Polish Club, and sitting around a good campfire. Joe is survived by his wife, Christine M. (Vinoski) Richey; children, Matthew J. Richey, Joshua T. Richey, Tyler A. Richey and partner Kel Uher; sister, Dorothy Richey LaRose and husband Paul; brother, Thomas “Archie” Richey and wife Sharon; niece, Monica Harvey and children; nephew, Patrick and wife Hope; mother-in-law, Shirley Vinoski; daughter, Brandi and children; sister-in-law Julianne Cummings and her husband Robert; nephew Justin Cummings and niece Jenelle Cummings. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Theodore Vinoski. Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, PA 15425 on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the Blessing Service at 11 a.m. with Fr. Julius Capongpongan as Celebrant.
