John Shultz Obituary

John William Shultz, 71, of Connellsville, passed away on Wednesday August 25, 2021 at his home.

He was born August 6, 1950 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late John Jr. and Erma Jean (Culleson) Shultz.

He was a member of the Central Fellowship Church, Connellsville.

For many years, John was employed through the Connellsville Area School District as a custodian. He also worked as a school police officer in the Connellsville School District for a time.

He was a member of the Connellsville Moose Lodge 16, Polish Club, Fairview Club, and the South Connellsville Rod and Gun Club.

John was an avid hunter and fisherman. When his grandchildren were younger, he was excited to be able to teach them the ways of hunting and fishing and as his grandchildren got older, John enjoyed spending time with them in the woods hunting or a lake or stream fishing.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Pamela (Piasecke) Shultz; daughter, Jill Renee Philburn and husband Dave; grandchildren, Jonathan Philburn (Kaity Hoone), Justin Philburn, Jacob Philburn (Molly Maloy), and Josie Philburn (T.J. Bollinger); brother, Ronald Shultz and wife Carol Ann; special uncle, Ed Piasecke.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Tammy and his sister, Diane Huffman.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville PA 15425.

In following with John's wishes, no visitation will be held and private services will be held with the family. Private interment will follow the services at Normalville Cemetery.
