John Edward Shuckhart

John Edward Shuckhart, 78, of Connellsville Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday June 23, 2024 at his home.

He was born June 27, 1945 in Leckrone, PA, a son of the late George William and Ada Florence (Lytle) Shuckhart.

For over 30 years, John was employed at Highlands Hospital as a maintenance engineer.

He was a member of the Christian Church of Connellsville and he enjoyed going fishing and bowling.

John is survived by his son, Sean Shuckhart and fiance Natasha Gemas of Connellsville Twp.; his daughters, Abbey Jeffries and companion Mike West of Carmichaels and Elizabeth Monaghan of California, PA; grandchildren, Tristan Shuckhart, Angel Jeffries, Alexis Jacobs, Gage Jacobs, and Zoey Lynn Stairs; a brother, Elmer Shuckhart and wife Dolores of North Versailles; mother-in-law, Hazel Wagner of Connellsville; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Barclay and husband David of Connellsville and brother-in-law, Daniel Abbey and his companion Roberta Blake of Washington. 

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by is wife, Diana (Abbey) Shuckhart; his daughter, Danielle Shuckhart; brothers, Chuck, Roger, Edward and Lester, and sisters, Clema, Betty, Dorothy, Elsie, Alice, Helen and Edith.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC.

A memorial gathering to pay final respects to John will be held at the South Connellsville Fireman's Club on Saturday from 1pm until 2pm, the hour of the memorial service.

The family has requested that donations and flowers be sent to the funeral home prior to the gathering time on Saturday as they will pick everything up beforehand to take to the gathering.
