Jeffery A. Harshman

Jeffery A. Harshman ‘ Halfrack’, 54, of Dawson, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday December 4th 2021. 

He was born on April 20, 1967 in Connellsville, a son of the late Donald (Doc) and Maxine (Kerr) Harshman.

He was a member of the Vanderbilt United Methodist Church.

For over 30 years, Jeff was employed with Asplundh Tree Service.

Jeff was known as an avid outdoorsman, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and camping at Lake Erie.

He even had the opportunity this past archery season to harvest a nice-sized buck alongside Haylee, who was like a daughter to him, who got herself a buck too.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 32 years, Stephanie (Loya) Harshman; daughters, Ashleigh Harshman of Scottdale and Nicole Tunstall of Dickerson Run; sister, Rebecca Lovasz (Frank) of Perryopolis; brother-in-law, James Lovasz of Dickerson Run; uncle, David Harshman and companion Sandy of Connellsville; mother-in-law, Rebecca Coughenour of Connellsville; grandmother, Jean Coughenour of Vanderbilt; sisters-in-law, Deanna Loya of Connellsville and Andrea Murphy (Elvis) of Dawson and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including his very close friends, The Newell Family.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Nolan Tunstall; son-in-law, Chris Tunstall; sister, Deborah Lovasz and his brother, Donald (Dockey) Harshman.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Wednesday from 2pm – 4pm and from 6pm – 8pm and on Thursday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Jack Washabaugh officiating.

Interment will follow at Dickerson Run-Union Cemetery.
