James “J.D.” Daniel Ritenour, 84, of Connellsville, passed away on Saturday March 6, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 9, 1936 in South Connellsville, a son of the late Leroy Franklin and Nellie Marie (Mulnix) Ritenour.
J.D. was a lifelong member of Calvary Assembly of God, Connellsville.
For 42 years until his retirement, J.D. was employed through the US Steel Clairton Works.
He was a member of the Appalachian Wagon Train, Tri-County Horse and Mule Association, and the Wagoneers which he was President for 30 years and he was a Wagon Master for 30 years.
J.D. is survived by his children, Marla Jill Ritenour-Myers of Connellsville and Daniel Franklin Ritenour of Huachuca City, AZ; grandchildren, Jennise Myers-Rock (Michael), Joliene Myers-Gratchic (Daniel), Jared Myers (Ashley), all of Connellsville, Brandon Ritenour (Tammy), Zane Ritenour (Carina), and Sean Ritenour (Lindy), all of Huachuca City, AZ; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Makayla Rock of Connellsville, Jocelyn, Madison, Jace, and Mila Gratchic of Connellsville, Tripp James Myers of Connellsville and Lucas, Gwendolyn, Jack, Cheyenne, Waylon, Christa, and Jocelyn Ritenour of Huachuca City, AZ; step-great-grandchildren, Tatum and Hudson Johnson and Aiden and Liam Cain, all of Huachuca, AZ;
In addition to his parents, J.D. was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jean (Guthrie) Ritenour (2001) and siblings, Betty Cropp, Anna Mae Geary, Vernon L. Ritenour and Clarence D. Ritenour.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Tuesday March 9 from 2pm-8pm and on Wednesday from 10am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Rev. Matthew Goldsberry officiating.
Interment will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville
