James R. Raubaugh, 88, of Dunbar Township, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday July 25, 2023 at WVU Uniontown Hospital.
He was born October 21, 1934 in Connellsville, a son of the late Earl and Hazel (Rodeheaver) Harden.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Air Force. After his discharge from the service, Jim was employed through Anchor Hocking Glass Container Corp, Connellsville, as a forklift operator until his retirement.
Jim attended the Central Fellowship Church, Connellsville.
He was a life-long member of the Morrell Volunteer Fire Company and the Fayette County Fireman’s Association.
He was also a member of the senior golf league at King’s Mountain Golf, the Juniata Sportsman’s Club, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and the Slovak Club of Connellsville. For over 50 years, Jim bowled for City Bowling in Connellsville.
Jim enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren.
In addition to spending time with his family, Jim enjoyed golfing, wood-working, bowling, and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Jim is survived by his wife of 66 years, Audie Raubaugh; daughters, Kristi (Don) Peperak and Terri (Lee) Herchko, all of Dunbar Township; grandsons, Jimmy Peperak and Justin Peperak and granddaughter, Sara Herchko. He is also survived by the following sisters and brothers, Sara Mosey of OH, Virginia (Fred) Whittaker of Connellsville, and William Harden of Connellsville as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Traxcler, Edward Raubaugh, Donald Raubaugh, Jack Raubaugh, and Willard Harden.
Family and friend will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Friday from 2pm until the hour of the funeral service at 6pm with Pastor Michael Stange officiating. At the request of the family, interment will be held privately in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.
