Helen Mildred (Rathway) Zeka, 94, of Connellsville, died Saturday, June 28, at Woodcrest Independent Living, Scottdale.
She was born November 14, 1930, in Perryopolis, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph & Anna (Kurty) Rathway.
She was a high school graduate and a loving homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Connellsville, St. John’s Christian Mothers and the Slovak Catholic Sokol.
She is survived by a sister, Betty Kubitza of Belle Vernon; her special niece, Michele Ruth and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. “Bill” Zeka; 5 brothers, Andrew, Joseph, John, Paul and Edward Rathway; and 3 sisters, Anna Philips, Mary Kranik and Margaret Hudak.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425, on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8am until 9:30am when Prayers of Transfer will be held.
The Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10am in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Connellsville with Fr. Peter Guardiano as Celebrant.
Committal services and interment will follow at St. John the Baptist R.C. Cemetery, Perryopolis.
