Harold Gilbert Ridenour, 83, of Connellsville, passed away on Friday February 19, 2021 at Excela Latrobe Hospital.
He was born on May 2, 1937, a son of the late Wilbur and Florence (Clark) Ridenour.
He was an active member of the Wooddale Bible Brethren Church.
Harold was employed through US Steel for many years and then upon his retirement he worked as a butcher., which he enjoyed smoking different cuts of meat.
He enjoyed hunting deer and fishing.
Harold loved his pet chickens and really loved all animals. He was a collector of items with great potential and he saw the value in everything he collected.
He was member of the Juniata Sportman’s Club and the East Huntington Sportmen Club.
Harold was one of the kindest people you would ever meet and he will be greatly missed by anyone who had the chance to meet and know him.
Harold is survived by his children, Sarah Joy Ridenour-Frendy and husband Andrew of Scottdale and Samuel Gilbert Ridenour of Connellsville; sisters, Jeannetta Jane Ridenour of Connellsville and Della Eutsey and husband Dwayne of Everson; and brother, Kenneth Ridenour of Connellsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Ridenour; sister, Mary Leona Nicholson, and brother, Harry Ridenour.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Monday from 6pm-9pm and on Tuesday from 11am until the hour of the funeral service at 1pm with Rev. Geary Witt officiating.
Interment will be private.
