George Robert ("Bob") Strawn

George “Bob” Robert Strawn,  87, of Connellsville, passed away on Thursday February 25, 2021 at Uniontown Hospital.
He was born on February 11, 1934 in Connellsville, a son of the late James H. and Martha E. (Pierce) Strawn.

Bob graduated from Connellsville High School in the Class of 1951.

After completing high school, he proudly served his Country in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1958.

In 1966, Bob graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from Waynesburg University.

With his degree, Bob worked for the U.S. Government in Washington D.C. for the Internal Development and Finance Agency for 32 years until his retirement in 1989.

He was the last living member of his immediate family, which included 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

He will be missed by his surviving extended family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 30 years, Anna Catherine “Kitty” Reed-Strawn.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Monday March 1st from 5pm – 8pm and on Tuesday March 2nd from 10am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.

Interment will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.

In following with Covid-19 guidelines, masks are mandatory to be worn at the funeral home and cemetery and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
