Fay (Churchwell) Lewis

Fay Lewis, 85, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Connellsville.

She was born May 29, 1937 in Crestview, FL, the daughter of the late Walton and Berter (Hutto) Churchwell.

She was Baptist by Faith. Fay was known as an avid bingo player, always making sure to attend the New Haven Hose Co. bingo every Thursday.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Fay is survived by her children, Tanya Ogletree and husband Glenn of Crestview, FL, Richard Lewis of Crestview, FL and Sanford ‘Bubba’ Lewis and wife Della of Connellsville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer William Lewis; her children, Tonya Lewis-Newton, Movita Commie, Sarita Lewis, and Berter May Lewis; grandsons, Justin William Lewis and Christopher Brian (Bubba) Newton; great-grandson, Hunter Lewis; her siblings, Randall Hugh Churchwell and Willie Mae Blankenship 

A special thanks to her beloved extra daughters,  Juanita Bando, Tracy Fletcher, Helen Session and special friend, Bea Shroyer.
