Evelyn “Evie” June (Steindl) Williams, 86, of Connellsville, passed away on Tuesday February 15, 2022 in Morgantown, Wva.
She was born December 20, 1935 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late William and Frieda (Lelesch) Steindl.
She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in the Class of 1953 and was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville.
She married her love of her life, Lee on May 15th 1954 and they would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this year.
Throughout her life, Evelyn was a loving homemaker to her family.
Evelyn enjoyed playing cards, gambling (especially playing the slots), eating good food and traveling with her husband. But most importantly to her, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Leland ‘Lee’ Williams of Connellsville; children, Gary Williams, Susan Whipkey (Steve) and Barbara Bucci (Nick), whom are all of Connellsville; grandchildren, Nicole Petraglia (Tristan), Meagan Zavada (Mike); Samantha Petrone (Derek), Kelli Basinger (Dave), Josh Bucci (Bea) and Joe Bucci (Laura); great-grandchildren, Bella, Payton and Deklan Petrone, Gabby and Gianna Petraglia, Lainey and Easton Zavada, Hudson and Leo Bucci, Maci Basinger, and Natalie Bucci; sisters, Rose Pitroski, Betty Kuhns and Anna Balgosky and numerous nieces and nephew.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Bill, John and Frank; numerous brother and sister-in-laws, and a niece.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Sunday from 2pm – 8pm and on Monday from 8:30am until 9:30am when Prayers of Transfer will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial at 10am will follow at St. Rita R.C. Church, Connellsville with Rev. Fr. Paul Lisik as Celebrant. (Previously was to be held at Immaculate Conception and was changed due to a heating issue).
Committal will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.
Evelyn’s family would like to thank the staff at Hillside Estates for their wonderful care, companionship and love over the years and to Suncrest Hospice for their kindness, compassion and care.
