Elizabeth Anne Slaughter, 93, of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Leisenring, passed away on Saturday February 6, 2021 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born January 18, 1928 in Leisenring #1, a daughter of the late Walter and Julia (Jarosz) Domaraki.
Liz was a member of the former St. Vincent DePaul Church, Leisenring, and was a current member of St. Aloysius R.C. Church, Dunbar.
As a young woman, Liz worked at the Union Supply Store in Leisenring. Once her and her husband James began their family, she dedicated her life to be a loving housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Liz is survived by her children, Dennis K. Slaughter and wife Patricia (Winters) and daughter, Lisa Anne (Slaughter) Donahue and husband Shawn; grandchildren, Julie Slaughter, Katie Slaughter and wife Rachel Glennon and Daniel Slaughter; great-grandchild, Charley Lynn Slaughter; sister, Agnes (Domaracki) Bell and husband Michael; brothers, Joseph Domaracki and wife Lois, Francis Domaracki and wife Genevieve, and Edward Domaracki and wife Maude.
In addition to her parents, Liz was preceded in death by her husband, James Keith Slaughter (1973); son, James William Slaughter (2016); sisters, Rose Omalacy, Helen Czaja, Genevieve Garlick, and Emily Ernesty and a brother, Stanley Domaraki.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Tuesday from 2pm – 7pm and on Wednesday from 11am until 12:15pm, when Prayers of Transfer will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, Dunbar at 1pm with Rev. Fr. Paul Lisik as Celebrant.
Committal prayers will be held after Mass at the church and private interment will take place at St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery, Leisenring.
In following with Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines, masks are mandatory to be worn at the funeral home and church and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
