Dorothy Evangeline (Kimmel) Earnesty

 Dorothy Evangeline (Kimmel) Earnesty, 89, of Connellsville, passed away on Thursday June 19, 2025, at home.

She was born March 19, 1936, at home in South Connellsville, a daughter of the late Ira and Rosella (Sproats) Kimmel.

She graduated from Connellsville High School and throughout her life, Dorothy was a loving homemaker to her family. She was Protestant by Faith and she enjoyed cooking and making many meals for her family. Dorothy loved attending and playing bingo, and when she wasn’t playing bingo, she was up at Lady Luck Casino busting the slots.

Most fondly, she will be remembered for being a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. 

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Vincent Paul Earnesty; her 10 children, Norma Francy and her 2 children, Ronald Francy and his 2 children, Nancy Francy-Nicholson and her 7 children, Kenneth Francy (Chuddy) and his 2 children, Robert Earnesty and wife Lorrie, Paula May and her 3 children, Vincent Earnesty and wife Lisa and their child, William Earnesty and his 2 children, Hope Lynn Lewis and husband Jeremy and their 2 children, and James Lee Earnesty and wife Jessica and their 3 children; numerous great-grandchildren; 1 great-greatgrandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Kelly Ann Francy, Daryl Provance, and Joseph Earnesty; great-grandbabies, Madilynn Halliday, Angel Darrell and Tayler Darrell and siblings, Donald, Lee, Bob, Carl, Dale, and Jackie Kimmel.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Monday from 11am – 2pm and 4pm – 8pm and on Tuesday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Rev. Matthew Goldsberry officiating. 

Interment will be private.
