Dolores M. (Roy) Omatick

Dolores M. (Roy) Omatick, 83, of Greensburg, formerly of Connellsville, passed away peacefully on Monday September 2, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones at St. Anne Home, Greensburg.

She was born December 24, 1940 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Frank V. and Bernice (Suchocki) Roy.

She was a member of and attended Immaculate Conception R.C. Church of Connellsville.

Dolores graduated from Connellsville High School in the Class of 1958 and then attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

For many years until her retirement, Dolores was employed through Geibel Catholic High School where she was an administrative assistant. While at Geibel, she enjoyed helping students and working with the faculty and staff, many of whom became lifelong friends.

Dolores enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers games. She also enjoyed traveling on bus tours with her friends. She also had a green thumb and spent many hours tending to her flowers at home and at St. John Church.

Dolores had a great affection for all animals, especially dogs, including her precious Coco.

Most of all, Dolores cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, always looking out for her loved ones.

She will be remembered by her family and friends as kind, caring, and supportive.

Dolores is survived by her sons, David M. Omatick Jr. (Lori) of Connellsville, Douglas M. Omatick (Jody Edmiston) of Keene, NH, and D. Matthew Omatick (Michaela) of York, PA; grandchildren, Brianne Roth (Phil) of Baltimore, MD, Gabrielle Omatick (Lucas Buseck) of Chicago, IL, Mayson Smith (Tyler) of Camp Hill, PA, and MaKenna Schmidt and Dalton Omatick, both of York, PA; brother, Robert Roy (Ruth Ann) of Connellsville and sister-in-law, Connie Roy of Connellsville. Also left to cherish her memory is her dear and special friend, Mary Dreliszak.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Roy and Donald “Cookie” Roy.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Thursday from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm and on Friday from 8am until 9:30am when Prayers of Transfer will be held. The Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville at 10am with Fr. Peter Guardiano officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Connellsville.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Anne Home and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Dolores.
