Diane Lynn “Cricket” Brooks, 68, of South Connellsville, passed away on Sunday February 11, 2024 at Penn Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
She was born September 4, 1955 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Stockton) Taylor.
Throughout her life, Cricket was a loving homemaker to her family, always making sure her children and grandbabies were taken care of. Her grandchildren were her world.
She loved cats, wrestling, cooking and listening to music, especially rock and country.
She is survived by her children, Asa (Kelly) Brooks, Christina (Isacc) Fisher, Sylvia Brooks, and Bobbi Jo (Bobby) Honse, all of Connellsville; grandchildren, Courtney Brooks, Asa Brooks III, Brandon Hominsky, Morgan Brooks, David Fleming, Sara Fleming, Madison Fleming, Leann Friend, Jason Sanger Jr., Jupiter Honse, Kristina Honse, and Hunter Honse; great-grandchildren, Jackson Brooks and Weston Watters; brothers and sisters, Bill, Robert (Jessie) Taylor, and Pete (Maryann) Taylor; her boyfriend, Richard Jones also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Cricket was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Asa Brooks and her grandson, Michael Honse.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425.
In following with Cricket’s wishes, no visitation or services will be held.
Interment will be private.
