David R. Francis

David R. Francis, 86, of Connellsville Twp., died Friday, June 7, 2024 at Hillside Estate, Connellsville.  

He was born, July 14, 1937 in Connellsville, a son of the late Clyde G. & Meredith (Culligan) Francis.  

David was a member of Central Fellowship Church, Connellsville and a graduate of Connellsville High School Class of 1955.  Prior to his retirement, he worked for many years as a Nuclear Service Technician at Westinghouse, Waltz Mill. 

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

David is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary E.(Geary) Francis; a daughter, Pamela Miller & husband John of Perryopolis; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Francis of Connellsville; grandchildren, Heather Booher & husband Nathan of Curwensville, PA, Amy Francis & companion Kane of Youngwood, and McKenzie Smith & husband Joe of Perryopolis; 3 great grandchildren, Natalie, Molly and Luke Booher; a brother, Jack Francis & wife Patricia of Lemont Furnace; his dear friends, Sam Cook of Dunbar and Jim Miller of CA; and his beloved dog, Buddy.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David A Francis (2021); a brother, Chuck Francis and a sister, Margorie Francis.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425, Monday from 2-8 pm and Tuesday from 9 until 1 pm the hour of his funeral service with Pastor Michael Martin officiating. 

Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park.
