Darlene Beal Obituary
Darlene Gladys Beal, 77, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 13, 2022 at her home.
She was born September 23, 1945 in Normalville, a daughter of the late Emory F. and Bessie (Keefer) Layman.
She formerly was employed as a housekeeper at Seven Springs Mountain Resort and she was a former member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Connellsville and Everson.
Darlene enjoyed creating personalized greeting cards for holidays and birthdays, writing poems, which she kept throughout her home, and watching numerous movies and horse races and the show Ghost Adventures on TV.
She also enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash which was one of her favorite musicians.
Darlene was an avid reader and enjoyed learning the history of the Civil War and Abraham Lincoln.
Darlene is survived by her children, Curtis Beal of Connellsville and Lisa Beal and her companion Chad of Connellsville; grandchildren, Caitlyn and Todd; sisters, Doris Jean Layman of Pittsburgh, Dolores Walker of Michigan and Doretta Billeaudeau of Uniontown and her brother, Duane Layman of Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Beal; her sisters, Dwetta Layman and Dorothy McKlveen and brothers, Domer Layman and Dexter Layman.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Sunday from 2pm – 8pm and on Monday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Rev. Phillip Lavery officiating.
Interment will follow in Normalville Cemetery.
