Darl R. "Pete" Allison

Darl R. “Pete” Allison, 92, of Connellsville, passed away on Tuesday December 10, 2024 at Peroni’s Personal Care Home, Uniontown.

He was born October 13, 1932 in Uniontown, a son of the late Everett and Lydia (O’Neal) Allison.

He was a graduate of Uniontown High School and was employed through the U.S. Steel Mill where he worked for many years until his retirement.

He was a member of the Dunbar Eagles and the Connellsville Moose Lodge. Pete was a known handyman. He was always doing projects around the house, from carpentry to building multiple sheds, clear up until he was in his early 90’s. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. He also enjoyed traveling to and visiting his family in Florida.

Pete is survived by his wife of 29 years, Joanne (Hunt) Allison; his children, Patricia Tonsetic and husband Richard, Kenneth Allison and wife Cindy, and Michael Allison; daughter-in-law, Paulette Allison; stepchildren, David Rulli and wife Leann, Linda Conaway and husband Scott and Tony Rulli and wife Marygrace; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Merryman and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Allison and Ray Allison; daughters-in-law, Mary and Lori; son-in-law, John Fleszar and 6 siblings.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Friday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 1pm with Rev. Heather Simpson officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.

Pete’s family would like to thank OSPTA Hospice, his aide Sharon Carrigan, and the staff of Peroni’s Personal Care Home for their care and compassion for Pete.
