Christopher Downs, 48, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital.
Chris was born on January 9, 1977, in Connellsville, PA, to the late Jeffrey Downs, Sr. and Kathleen (Utlak) Downs.

He reminded us daily of the preciousness of every moment and the strength of the human spirit. Chris was born without sin and all who loved him will celebrate his direct entry into Heaven where he will be greeted by his family who loved him unconditionally.
Chris is survived by his siblings April Downs, Adam Downs, Danielle Burkholder, Jeffrey Downs, Jr., Bethany Downs and Hailee Downs; his step-mother, Lori Downs; nieces and nephews, Berra Larkin, Ethan and Grant Burkholder, Noah Downs and Priscilla Nazarof; aunts and uncles, Jacqueline Wilhelm (George), Mary Ann Fouch (Ronald), Russell Utlak (Nancy), Robert Downs, Jr. (Patty) and Diana Yauger.

Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Psalm 131: 1-3
My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.
But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child
with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.
Israel, put your hope in the Lord
both now and forevermore.
